A no-bake, easy-to-make dessert featuring layers of crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cream cheese filling, and sweet macerated strawberries. Perfect for potlucks, parties, or a quick sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups crushed pretzels, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter. Stir until well mixed and the pretzels are evenly coated.
  2. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the pretzel mixture into the bottom of each parfait glass. Press down gently with the back of a spoon to form a compact base. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, toss sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Let sit for 10-15 minutes to macerate.
  4. In a large bowl, beat 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. In a chilled bowl, whip 1 cup cold heavy cream with 2 tablespoons powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula, keeping the mixture light and fluffy.
  7. Spoon or pipe a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over the pretzel crust in each glass (about 1/3 cup). Add a layer of macerated strawberries (about 1/4 cup). Repeat layering if desired, finishing with a strawberry layer on top.
  8. Refrigerate the parfaits for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld and crust to stay crisp.

Notes

Press the pretzel crust firmly into the glasses and chill before adding creamy layers to prevent sogginess. Macerate strawberries to enhance sweetness and flavor. Fold whipped cream gently into cream cheese to keep mixture airy. Parfaits taste better after chilling for several hours or overnight. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pretzels. For dairy-free, substitute vegan cream cheese and coconut cream.
