These wings combine juicy peach sweetness with a spicy hot honey glaze, creating a perfect balance of sweet heat ideal for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs (900g) chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 ripe peaches, peeled and finely chopped (or 1 cup frozen peach chunks, thawed)
  • 1/3 cup (113g) honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional garnishes: fresh chopped cilantro or parsley, thinly sliced green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season with kosher salt and black pepper, then drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Place the wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet, spacing them out for air circulation.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake wings for 20 minutes, flip, then bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy. Alternatively, air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. While wings bake, combine chopped peaches, honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until peaches soften and glaze thickens (8-10 minutes). Mash or puree peaches slightly if desired.
  5. Toss cooked wings in the warm peach glaze until evenly coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro, green onions, or sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat wings dry thoroughly before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Simmer glaze on moderate heat to avoid burning honey. Toss wings in glaze just before serving to keep skin crisp. Adjust cayenne and hot sauce to control heat level. Frozen peaches can be used if fresh are unavailable. For vegan option, substitute wings with cauliflower and honey with maple syrup.
