Light Delightful Fluffy Jello Whip

A quick, airy, and guilt-free dessert made with Jello gelatin and whipped topping that is light, fluffy, and satisfying without heaviness.

  • 1 small box (3 oz / 85 g) Jello Gelatin Mix (strawberry, raspberry, or lime)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water or milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of boiling water into a mixing bowl and add the gelatin mix. Whisk briskly for 2-3 minutes until completely dissolved with no granules visible.
  2. Stir in 1 cup (240 ml) of cold milk or water. Mix well.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons (25 g) of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of lemon juice if desired. Whisk again until sugar dissolves.
  4. Place the bowl in the fridge for about 20 minutes or until the mixture starts to thicken slightly but is not fully set.
  5. Gently fold 1 cup (240 ml) of whipped topping into the gelatin mixture using a spatula or hand mixer on low speed, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Transfer the mixture to your serving dish or individual cups. Chill in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours until fully set and fluffy.
  7. Once set, scoop with a spoon and serve chilled.

Notes

Fold whipped topping gently to maintain fluffiness. Chill mixture until slightly thickened before folding in whipped topping. Chill fully for 1-2 hours to set. If gelatin sets too firm, whisk gently before serving to restore fluffiness. Can substitute coconut cream and almond or coconut milk for dairy-free version. Add fresh fruit before chilling for variation.
