A quick and refreshing fruit salad featuring fresh strawberries, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, and orange, tossed in a zesty maple-lemon dressing with fresh mint. Perfect for springtime meals or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 2 medium kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium orange, segmented
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup (Grade A preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fresh fruit thoroughly under cold water. Hull and halve the strawberries, halve the grapes, peel and slice the kiwi, and segment the orange carefully to remove all pith and membranes. Place all fruit in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, lemon juice, orange zest, and sea salt until fully combined and slightly frothy.
  3. Drizzle the maple-citrus dressing evenly over the fruit. Gently toss with a large spoon or salad tongs to coat all pieces without bruising the fruit.
  4. Sprinkle chopped fresh mint leaves over the tossed fruit salad and give a final gentle toss to distribute the herbs.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Prepare fruit and dressing separately and toss just before serving to avoid sogginess. Use ripe but firm fruit for best texture. If fruit seems dry, add a splash of fresh orange juice. Maple syrup may thicken in fridge; whisk again before use.
