A quick and easy summer dessert featuring juicy fresh peaches and silky whipped cream, perfect for a light and refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 to 5 ripe, medium-sized peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prep the peaches by peeling them (blanch in boiling water for 30 seconds, then transfer to ice water for easy peeling). Slice into even wedges and place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add lemon juice and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar to the peaches. Toss gently to coat and let rest for about 10 minutes to macerate.
  3. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with 1 tablespoon powdered sugar and vanilla extract on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the peaches to coat them lightly.
  5. Spoon the peaches and cream into serving bowls, topping each with the remaining whipped cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or chill for up to one hour before serving. Stir gently before serving if chilled.

Notes

Chill bowl and beaters before whipping cream for best results. Fold cream gently to keep it airy. Serve fresh or within one hour for best texture. Optional spices like cinnamon or nutmeg add a warm twist. Can substitute nectarines or thawed frozen peaches if fresh are unavailable. For dairy-free, use whipped coconut cream.
